There is something about taking an early morning leisure walk and taking in all the fresh air and beautiful scenery around you. It does something to the body. It rejuvenates the body and aids in the healing and repair of the cells, it revitalizes the spirit and gives you as a person the opportunity to have some genuine reflections.

This morning I had the privilege of taking an idyllic walk, and I was able to take in the entire scenery of Furzton Lake from a different perspective.

During my walk I saw two islands built in the lake to provide a safe haven for the swans and ducks to breed their hatchlings, till they are old enough to fend for themselves. For those of you who have had the privilege to read my piece on ‘Equipped for success- A Thinkpiece’ published on , I did mention that I studied the ducks for two years and it was in this same Furzton Lake that I studied the ducks.

Foxes and other predators cannot swim across the lake to the islands to devour the ducklings and baby swans. Of course, there is always that one thing that will pose a danger like the heron. This morning I sighted two herons on the island perched and waiting patiently for the mothers of chicks to stray off for just a moment, so that they could strike.

Of particular interest to me was how the entire occupants of the lake just laid still, completely unbothered about life and enjoying the fresh morning breeze, and rising sun while waiting for nature enthusiasts to bring their food.

If only we could be like this as humans, it would do us a world of good. Just keeping still and relaxing our bodies and minds every now and then to rebuild ourselves.

At, we provide a total experience that enriches the mind.

Do enjoy some of the images.
